2014 Chevy Impala

The more than 50 years old legend is coming again as the 2014 Chevy Impala! Truth be told, the Impala was one of the highest-selling vehicles in the U.S. for the past few years. So, why then is the need for change? Simple, a legend must not rest on its laurels, especially if it is a Chevrolet, and wants to remain one. Apart from sales to rental and commercial fleets, it is not so popular in the market. The Impala will not win a popularity contest against its competitors. Most of the competitors now wear a new look. These are the reasons why Chevrolet is going all out to bring a new Impala model so that it can keep its place among the greats and also attract those that do not buy in bulk.

The 2014 Chevrolet impala was officially shown to the public at the New York Auto Show on April 4th, 2012. Chevrolet engineers and designers went back into the past, embraced the present and reached into the future, and gave us a present to be proud of. The result of this experiment is a strikingly beautiful and different Chevy Impala 2014 that is only recognisable by the ever present Chevy badge.

With the radical enhancement, the 2014 Impala model enters its tenth generation. This is a special feat if you considered that Honda Accord and Toyota Camry are still in their ninth generation, and the “great” six-decade-old Mercedes-Benz SL is still in its six generation. The design is inspired by its heritage without being archaic!

2014 Chevrolet Impala Changes

The impala is redesigned and refined aggressively. Functions and vanities were expertly merged to create a head turning design in the 2014 Chevrolet Impala. The exterior is made up of visually stunning and aerodynamic collection of smooth contours on a standard 20 inch wheel. You will not pass it on the street without a second glance. It is not just aggressive; it is sculptural, athletic and confident.

The Chevy Impala 2014 borrows some design from its cousin, the Camaro. The hood on its front fascia is long and low, its front lights are slim but menacing, and the tail lamps are rectangular. There are projector-beams headlamps on all its models except the LTZ that uses HID headlamps.

The first thing you will notice when you step into a 2014 Impala is the ambience. It is roomy, yet you will still feel a connection with the environment. The designer’s aim was to make the driver as comfortable as possible, and he achieved this. The function panel is well placed around the cockpit. The chrome and wood accent join the sumptuous leather seat to make the interior even more luxurious.

There are three engine choices available in the 2014 Chevy Impala: the popular 303-HP, 28 MPG3 3.6Litre V6 engines that can achieve a 60 in just 6.8 seconds, 195-HP, 31 MPG 2.5Litre 4-cylinder engine, and a 182-HP, 35 MPG 2.4L 4-cylinder engine. Apart from the 10 airbags, many safety features like Forward Collision Alert, Collision Mitigation Braking system, Lane Departure Warning, Side Blind Zone Alert and Rear Park Assist are also there.

2014 Chevy Impala Release

The Impala 2014 will invade the market in early spring 2013, and it is coming to deliver power, comfort and efficiency to make driving truly enjoyable.

The new Chevy impala is tempting one… I’m sure it will create great impact on Accord and Camry sales.
