News emerged last year that Honda has started the production of 2014 Honda Pilot. When the vehicle hits the market, it will be one of the best midsize crossover SUVs on the market. In anticipation of a major redesign scheduled for 2015, Honda pilot buyers should expect some minor changes on the new pilot; the new Honda Pilot will be very similar to the outgoing model.
Honda Pilot 2014 Powertrain
2014 Pilot has a contemporary design with a boxy shape and a roomy interior. The third-row seats in previous model were quite small and also with poor legroom but in the current model, it has been reconfigured. In fact, third-row seat in the new Pilot will be one of the best in CUV segment. The cargo space can be increased by folding the third row fold flat into the floor. According to 2014 pilot news, the new Pilot will be powered by a 220 horsepower, 1.6-litre diesel engine. Another source talked about a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine. A European spec will be equipped with the Fit Multiple, while hybrid editions will be released in the U.S.
Although the eight-passenger Honda Pilot 2014 model is not for the fast cars enthusiasts, it accelerates smoothly and has a reasonably good fuel economy, thanks largely to a new consistently varying transmitting technological innovation (we have not confirm the authenticity of the transmission system, but we have known for some time that the automaker was moving in this buckle and lever direction.
From the 2014 Honda Pilot rumors circulating about, we gathered that the fuel economy for the 2014 Pilot will remain the same as that of the 2013 model; the Front-Wheel-Drive models will retain their 18/25/21 mpg city/highway/combined ratings and the All-Wheel-Drive models remain at 17/24/20 mpg.
2014 Honda Pilot will boast of a well-balanced handling which affords a reasonably smooth ride on all road surfaces.
2014 Pilot Features
We are not expecting significant additions to the feature list of the Honda Pilot until the next full redesign in 2015. Previous models of the Honda Pilot were all decently equipped, with features such as a rearview camera and Bluetooth mobile interface, but Honda will likely move to add some of the latest high-tech safety and convenience systems to the 2014 Honda Pilot so as to be on par with competitors.
Some rumors regarding 2014 Honda Pilot also suggest that the new Honda Pilot will offer some innovative features such as forward collision, blind spot, and lane departure warning systems. We may also see convenience features like ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, power-folding side mirrors, adaptive headlamps and automatic high beams.
2014 Pilot Release Date and Price
The Honda Pilot 2014 is expected at dealer’s showrooms later this year, in late September or early October 2013.
2014 pilot news we have heard confirmed our suspicion that there will be a slight increase in price over the 2013 model. The base LX model is expected to start at around $30,750, the EX trim at about $32,500, the EX-L trim at about $34,750, while the Touring model (which features a navigation system) should be priced at around $41,000. Buyers may have to add $1,600 for AWD versions of the above trims. Standalone options like a navigation system and a rear DVD system are available on the EX-L models for around $2,000 and $1,600 respectively.

One good thing about the 2014 Honda Pilot is that its redesigned version will include a 3.5L Earth dreams V6 engine which will definitely boost its performance. You can expect the power to be around 310 hp and torque around 265 lb-ft. Front drive models of the 2014 Honda Pilot may also come with a CVT
