The premium wagon has a better mileage figure than most SUV or a crossover. To make the wagon even more appealing, the space and comfort it offers are now at par with most luxury vehicles. Other details we from the 2014 BMW 3 series spy spot shows that the new BMW Sport Wagon has an improved driving dynamics and also grows up and out with a more spacious cabin than the previous models. Although it is not as comfortable as the 7 Series models, the large cargo area is enough to make up for any shortcoming. The 3 Series wagon has been increased by 1.2 cubic feet to a range of 17.5 to 53.0 cubic feet (this makes it one of the most spacious small premium wagon in the market or in production now). It gains around 10-percent greater rigidity in its architecture; the wheelbase increases by 2.0 inches, front rail by 1.5 inches and the rear rail by 1.9 inches. The price will range from $38,500 to $55,000.

We have also seen the 2014 BMW 3 series spy spot of the other BMW 3-Series model, the roomier Gran Turismo. It will join large 3 Series family by complementing the wagon, coupe, sedan, and the folding-hardtop convertible. The 3-Series GT is a premium model, positioned to feel the gap between the other 3-Series models and the 5-Series models. It has a sleeker styling compared to his larger 5-series sibling, and it is another SUV variant in the BMW line-up. Two versions are planned; a four-seat version and a five-seat version.

The GT 2014 BMW 3 series changes with an extended wheelbase, a low, sloping roof line, and thanks to this, it will offer more cabin and cargo room than the 3-Series wagon. Its size and proportion is similar to that of the A5 Sport-back and the bulging hood adds more character to the body. The 3-Series GT is expected to go on sale in Europe and the United States during the first half of 2013.

All the BMW 3-series body styles will use a standard rear-wheel drive and an optional all-wheel drive.

All the 3 Series models will either of two four cylinder engines: a 2.0-litre four-cylinder Twin Power turbocharged gas engine or a four-cylinder turbo diesel. A diesel engine and a hybrid version will definitely be available, but we are not sure at the moment if the diesel variant would be offered to the U.S. buyers. The 2014 BMW 3 series will use a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission system.
