2013 Porsche Cayenne GTS Review

Porsche does not usually release new models; it prefers to reengineer old ones! This is exactly what it did with the 2013 Porsche Cayenne GTS. We will see the car for the first time at the upcoming Beijing auto Show. It will fit in, just between the Cayenne S and Turbo. The chassis has been engineered to be extra responsive; Cayenne S is 0.8 inch higher than it. With its low height, it has a more aggressive appearance.

We expect the 2013 Cayenne GTS to be better performing than the Cayenne S, but its performance will not be up to that of the Cayenne Turbo. The 4.8-liter V8 the Turbo uses is stronger than the S model it uses. The V-8 S engine is rated at 420 horsepower, 20 HP more than the Cayenne S and it uses an automatic eight-speed transmission system. We heard from Porsche that the Porsche Cayenne 2013 can reach 60 mph in 5.4 seconds, and make a top speed of 160 mph (base model) or 162 mph (standard) within 5.6 seconds. With all these impressive figures, it still cannot compare with the Turbo, which uses a twin-turbocharged V8, as the name implies.

The German automaker will give the Americans a taste of its diesel cars. The first oil-burning Porsche will soon reach the North America. The Diesel using 2013 Porsche Cayenne release date will be this September. The Cayenne Diesel cars have been the most popular engine for SUV in Europe since 2009. The tailpipe emissions prevented it from being exported to the North America before now. The new Porsche 2013 Cayenne SUV will be the first diesel motor to be released in the U.S.

The proposed engine for the diesel Porsche Cayenne 2013 car is the 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine well designed to meet emissions standards. It is rated at 406 Lb- Ft of torque and 240 HP. It will use an automatic 8-speed transmission system. Porsche said it can reach 60 mph in just 7.2 seconds and achieve a top speed of 135 mph. The Diesel 2013 Porsche Cayenne price is expected to be $55,750 when it is released. This figure does not include any retail price.

Bottom Line

The exterior of the Porsche 2013 Cayenne GTS were also touched to make it a bit different from its brothers. It now rides on a 20” wheel. Apart from the black trims, it is available in two new colours: the Carmine Red and Peridot Metallic. Although it does not have the Turbo’s power, it has its body kit.
