The 2013 Nissan Murano will be offered in two body types: the Wagon and the 2013 Nissan Murano Crosscabriolet body type. If every crossover vehicles in the dealerships have all started to look the same to you, then it is obvious that you have not seen the crosscabriolet. There is nothing else on the road like this! It is the first and still the only 2-door convertible SUV trim available on the market since it was introduced in 2011. All the 2013 Nissan Murano versions are scheduled to be released before the end of 2012.
The 2013 Murano Crosscabriolet represents a clean break away from the common crossover-vehicle segment, and as a cohesively styled family vehicle. Thanks to its new extra features and functions it offers a brand new driving experience. There is no doubt about it; this unique automobile will be hot on the market this summer. Although Nissan has not released its specifications, car enthusiasts are already expecting great things from the newest addition to the Murano line-up.
Although the sunroof reduces the headroom when covered, the front seats in the 2013 Crosscabriolet are comfortable and can be adjusted for a wide range of sizes. But the rear bench may be a bit too low for tall adults. The cargo space is small and its floor is quite high, but the second-row seatback can be folded forward in order to increase the space. The small seating space and the lack of enough cargo space behind the second-row seat are common problems associated with vehicles with curvaceous exterior.
2012 vs 2013 murano crosscabriolet
The 2013 Murano CrossCabriolet has already been tagged as one of the hottest cars that will get on the market this summer. But it will come largely unchanged from the 2012 model. As I said earlier, it will continue the tradition as the first sporty topless-designed SUV with the dynamics of a crossover vehicle.
2013 Nissan CrossCabriolet engine
The similarity with the 2012 model will likely extend to what lies under the hood. So, we should expect a 265 HP and 240 LB-FT of torque 3.5L V6 engine mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). With 18 mpg in the city/24 mpg on the highway in the front-wheel drive models and 17 mpg in the city/ 22 mpg on the highway in the all-wheel drive models, it also has similar fuel economy ratings with the 2012 model.
Some new optional active-safety features like the Moving Object Detection, Lane Departure Warning systems and Blind Spot Warning (which helps the visibility issues curvier body designed vehicles are known for) will be added to the 2013 Crosscabriolet SL Navigation Package or Platinum Edition. This is a major difference between the current model and this incoming model.
Pro:
• Smooth powertrain
• Easy to manoeuvre
• attractively designed
• Responsive handling
Cons:
• The CVT does not have a manual mode
• It has a visibility issue
