In the Jeep Patriot 2013 4×4, features such as a standard 2.4-liter Engine that gives a 172 HP and a 5 speed manual transmission are present. There is a 2.0-liter Engine in the 4 x 2 model of the patriot 2013. This delivers 158 HP and with continuously variable transmission, it gives 23 mpg and 29 mpg in the city and on the highway respectively. On the 2.4-liter Engine type, there is dual variable valve timing on the exhaust and intake camshafts. This helps in increasing the torque curve always in order to increase its fuel efficiency and produce more power for a smooth operation. The manual transaxle gives 22 mpg and 28 mpg in the city and on the highway respectively.

The 2013 Patriot will have a 17 inches black aluminium wheels. Safety features like ABS, airbags and traction control are expected to come with it. The prices of the last editions range from around $16,000 to $25,000, depending on the option. This is without destination charges of course. The price of the 2013 Jeep Patriot is expected to be around $22, 090 and $24,390 for the 4 x 2 and the 4 x 4 models respectively.

The 2013 Patriot is really a crossover vehicle with its straight, crispy look that brings back the memory of the old Jeep Cherokee we all loved. There is more to this spectacular car.  From the folded sheet-metal, the Jeep Patriot 2013 looks so much like the Jeep Compass and the Dodge Caliber, both of them have hatchback.  It will compete with smaller crossover cars like the Subaru Forester, as well as some tall hatchbacks like the Scion XB and Kia Soul.

Bottom Line

The release date of the 2013 Jeep Patriot has been speculated by a lot of people, but from what we have heard, the release date may be pushed to sometime in 2013. The car’s features are really impressive, but the crappy continuously variable transmission CVT in the 4 x 2 model may just put you off if you need speed.
