2013 Honda Civic Si

When we were informed that Honda has started working on a new car, the 2013 Honda Civic Si, we were happy. The decision to go into production this early after the last release was unprecedented, but not surprising. The last model was below the buyers’ expectation; it was a step below Honda’s high standard, and became an embarrassment for the iconic brand. Honda heard the complaints and realised that no one was ready to take a poor product from its hands. Instead of being a hit, Civic took a big hit and sale dropped overnight.

We know Honda wants to work on the interior design and features, improve the fuel economy and the correct all other things that were wrong with the last model. This revamp is necessary before the competitors divide its fan base among themselves!

2013 Honda Civic Si redesign

A major step  is about to be taken with the Civic Si 2013, Honda will be making use of its New Earth Dreams Technology Plan to produce a car that will be a fuel economy and performance leader. This is a step in the right direction that will take all the pains inflicted on the user by the 2012 model away. We also expect to see the 2013 Civic Si Hatchback and Sedan in the market soon.  It has been confirmed to the dealers, the Civic Si will be ready towards the end of 2012. This is one of the reasons we feel there will be a complete redesign. We believe the late release date was chosen so that there will be enough time to effect all the changes that has been planned for the car.

The 2013 Civic Si is expected to come with some refreshing new designs. As of now, we do not know the planned concept for the interior design, but we have an idea of what will be under the hood. We believe there will be a new 1.8-liter 4-Cylinder Engine, and a New Direct-Injector will make an entry. A New CVT Transmission system produced for compact cars will replace the 5-Speed Automatic Transmission found in the 2012 model. We have also heard some rumours that a hybrid is on the way, but we are yet to confirm this.

We know that a 2013 Civic Si hybrid cannot get to the market before early 2013, but whenever it does, we will be happy to receive it. We have heard that the 2.0-liter 4-cylinder and 120-kilowatt electric motor hybrid will be able to make 10 miles at an amazing speed of up 62mph in EV mode if it made it out of production. This is totally different from what we have seen in other hybrids.  Prius, just like all industry standard hybrids moves at a slower speed, and cannot travel that far on only electricity.

2013 Civic Si price and release date

We believe that the base price of the new car will be around $23, 000, the same amount that the 2012 model was sold at. New features like forward collision warning, lane departure and blind spot monitoring, and interior goodies like a Pandora radio that uses an iPhone interface, Bluetooth device pairing and SMS text functionality are all coming. With the better fuel efficiency and improve engine performance promised, we believe the car in production will be better. 2013 Honda Civic Si is set to restore our faith in Honda again.

GARBAGE, is what we got from the HONDA CIVIC line for 2012. When you compare the U.S vs EURO versions: they got START BUTTON, REAR VIEW CAM , SPOILERS, FOG LIGHTS and many other accessories that we didn’t get, mind you majority ot things included in all their models. Why do we allow them get away with this? CHECK IT OUT ON YOU TUBE!
