2013 GMC Yukon vs 2013 Chevy Tahoe

GMC Yukon has a better fuel economy than most SUVs, but the 2013 GMC Yukon sits just below the 2013 Chevy Tahoe based on price, equipment and other factors. In a 2013 GMC Yukon vs 2013 Chevy Tahoe contest, the Chevrolet will have my vote. These are my reasons:

The new Tahoe and 2013 Yukon will have many things in common. They will both come out with spacious interiors, 3rd row seating, and an accommodation for up to 9 passengers. But what set them apart is the standard features and technology used. Comfort and convenience put the Tahoe in a different class from its rivals, and also make it a one-of-a-kind SUV. It boasts of a unique design that features aggressive cut, superb fit and out-of-the-world finishing. It merges its looks with higher capability and superior towing capacity. The Chevy Tahoe 2013 is not the most charming vehicle in the segment, but it retains its handsome exterior design. Some people may say that the interior is not as rosy as they expected, but with an array of modern convenience features, it will offer absolute comfort to passengers. What else? If you are talking of toughness for towing, few body-on-frame sport-utility vehicles can compete with it.
Meanwhile, the GMC Yukon 2013 did not change much. It keeps its good and bad side. It is tasteful, timeless and wears a handsome exterior design. But the interior looks old; it does not have any of the modern look of the Tahoe. The interior design is dull and it cannot be compared to the new Chevy Tahoe. Although the IIHS has not rated the two vehicles, a critic will not have anything to complain about the security and safety features in the 2013 Tahoe. It got a five-star rating for its frontal and side impact for both driver and front passenger. The side-curtain bags in the Tahoe cover all three rows.

Powertrain

A 5.3-litre V-8 engine rated at 320 HP and a six-speed automatic transmission system are standard on the GMC Yukon 2013 and the 2013 Chevy Tahoe, but a variable valve timing and cylinder deactivation allows the Tahoe to run smoother and yet it has better fuel economy. Not only this, it is E85 capable. Their hybrid models are both powered by a 332-horsepower, 6.0-litre V-8 engine and an electric motor system.

Price

The starting price of a 2013 Yukon will range from $40,435–$58,355 depending on the trim, whereas base 2013 Tahoe LS models which are tougher, safer and more comfortable will start at $39,750. Tahoe has the best warranty in the car industry. Chevy offers a 3-yr/36,000 mile warranty and a 5-yr/100,000 mile engine warranty with roadside assistance and courtesy transportation on the Tahoe.

Wherever you may want to go, the Tahoe will take you there in comfort and style. It is accommodating, and has some high-end and high-tech standard features like standard Onstar with turn by turn navigation. With a Vortec 5.3L V8 engine that offers higher fuel economy than its competitors, the Chevy Tahoe 2013 is both capable and uncompromising, and a better choice than the 2013 GMC Yukon.
