GMC Acadia is not as popular as it was when it first came out. Since 2011 when the vehicle was released, no update has been done to it. This is about to change, 2013 GMC Acadia will soon roll into the dealership. The facelift GMC Acadia is a perfect way to bring the line-up in the headlines again. Just don’t expect too much now, some minor changes are expected in the new car. The exterior has been restyled, and we are looking forward to a higher quality and better designed interior with many new technological features.
2013 GMC Acadia Changes
In the front of the 2013 Acadia, there is a prominent, uprightly designed three-bar grille and LED running lights are now standard on all the models. At the rear end, there is a wraparound glass and a new spoiler, the tail-lamps wears a new look. The vehicle will lie on a standard 18-inch or optional 19-inch wheel, and on the Denali, a standard 20-inch wheel is available.
Now to the interior, GMC Acadia 2013 model will still be able to accommodate up to eight passengers at a time, but the interior is even more luxurious. The seats were redesigned with better quality, softer-touch materials to give more comfort. The instrument panel display was redesigned to be more responsive. Other new features you will find in the interior are:

- Attractive trim accents and instrument panel wrap
- Ambient lighting accents
New safety features also find their way into this vehicle. The 4-way adjustable front seat head restraint and the optional front centre airbag system are new features designed to protect the front seat passengers. Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Side Blind Zone Alert systems are also available to alert the driver to unseen movements. The two systems make use of radar to monitor a driver’s blind spots, and deploy audible warnings and display visual to alert the driver. There is also a rear back-up camera which is now standard on all the trim levels. GM’s OnStar system is also standard on the 2013 Acadia and the service will be free for the first six months after purchase. The OnStar is also a safety feature because it can provide drivers with auto crash response, emergency roadside service, and remote vehicle locking and unlocking for turn-by-turn navigation.
2013 GMC Acadia Engines
For the choice of powertrain, the GMC Acadia 2013 model retains the 288 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque 3.6-litre V6 engine used by the previous model. The vehicle will still be offered as an all-wheel or front-wheel drive. A re-engineered six-speed automatic transmission will be used for improved shift response. On the front-wheel drives, mileage stays at 17/ 24 mpg in the city and on the highway respectively, and it remains unchanged at 16/23 on the AWD.
