The base powertrain for Nissan Altima 2013 is the 182 HP, 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine. It comes with an updated continuously variable transmission and has a valve timing cam. It is rated 27/38 mpg city/highway and it can achieve a 0-60 mph in 7.4 seconds. The optional 270-HP, 3.5-liter V-6 engine comes with a refreshed CVT bumps and its EPA figures ranges from 20/27 to 22/30 mpg.

The new Ford was styled to make it a standout model in the midsize segment. It now wears an upscale, coupe-inspired look. The new Ford Fusion 2013 model will be released with a more attractive interior and advanced technology and safety features. It will be available in three trim levels: S, SE and Titanium trim.

2013 Fusion will be available in three efficient powertrain options. The previous V6 engine was replaced by a four-cylinder engine so that it can be more fuel efficient. A 175 HP and 172 lb-ft of torque, 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine and a six-speed automatic transmission are standard on the Fusion S and SE trim levels. Ford will also offer two additional engine options: A 179 HP and 172 lb-ft of torque rated 1.6-litre turbo four-cylinder engine and a 237 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque rated 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder for the SE trim. On the Titanium trim, an All-wheel drive is optional, and it will be powered by a standard 2.0-litre engine. Official EPA ratings of Ford Fusion 2013 model’s powertrains have not been released, but Ford rated the 2.5-litre engine 22/33 mpg in the city and on the highway, the 1.6-litre engine was rated 26/37 mpg and the 2.0-litre engine got EPA ratings of 23 and 33 mpg.

With a base price range of $21,500 to $30,080, 2013 Altima is better priced than 2013 Fusion which will be sold between $22,495, to $32,995.

2013 Ford Fusion vs 2013 Nissan Altima which is the better option ?

2013 Ford Fusion is attractively styled, it comes with many modern driver assistance features like Lane Keeping System, Ford’s Active Parking System, The Blind Spot Information system and it is available in an all-wheel drive. But 2013 Nissan Altima will still be a better option with its V-6 power, roomier interior, more responsive CVT, and a better handling.
