When the production of the last Dodge Viper stopped, we were disappointed, but we took consolation in the fact that the 2013 Dodge Viper or 2013 SRT Viper will be here soon. There have been rumours that built up our suspense, but we do not have to wait for too long again, the 2013 Dodge Viper release date is nearer.
We have read about it, and we have been told it was coming. Even when we do not know the 2013 Dodge Viper price, we have all been saving for it. It became our obsession. Our obsession is about to become a reality, the wait is almost over, the wraps are coming off. The 2013 Dodge SRT Viper is about to be unleashed on us. Be prepared for it!
The 2013 SRT Viper continues in the previous footsteps of its predecessors to experiment with technology. The exterior design is timeless. Carbon fibre was used generously on the body, it is now about 32% lighter (about 100 pounds have been taken from the last model). Doors and sills were made with super-formed aluminium. We all wanted clamshell hood, and that is exactly what we got. There is also a LED tail light on offer. This mixes the stop and turn lights in a single plate.
In the interior, there are LCD displays. The infotainment centre also went through an upgrade. We do not know for now if they have found a solution to the hotness we all complained of. We will like to be able to drive the 2013 Dodge SRT Viper during the summer!
The new Viper uses an overhead-valve engine, the new 8.4-liter V-10 rated at 640 HP and 600 pound-feet of torque. An automatic transmission is not available; it uses a manual 6-speed transmission system. The 2013 Dodge Viper release date will be around late 2012, and this time around, it will have safety features like stability, launch and traction control.
Two different versions of the 2013 SRT Viper are expected: GTS and standard. Modern technologies will not be spared on the GTS version. If you want speed in your car, you should go for the GTS, you will not be disappointed. Technology like the 2-mode active suspension will be there for you. From what we have seen, this car will compete with not just the Corvette, but also with some Italian and German cars.
Pro
The strictest critic will have nothing to criticise about its styling.
The car’s performance is worth its price.
Cons
Just like before, its fuel economy is poor.
It is a modern car, but there is nothing modern about the interior.
For a Dodge, the 2013 Dodge Viper price is too expensive at $95, 000.
