Chrysler 200 2013 is a product of the gradual upgrading that started in 2011 when Chrysler 200 Sedan and its convertible sibling were made from 2010 Chrysler Sebring by rearranging the rear sway bar, tires and suspension geometry, raising its centre roll, softened the ride rate, stiffened the body mounts and reducing its noise by using acoustic glass for the windshield and the front side windows. This upgrading is set to continue until 2014 when the vehicle will be totally overhauled.
Two powertrains have been designed for the 2013 Chrysler 200: a 3.6 litre Pentastar V-6 engine and a 2.4 litre 4-cylinder engine. Most of the trims use a 6-speed automatic transmission system with manual shift mode, but the base models come with a 4-speed automatic. With the engines, acceleration from 0-60mph will be achievable in 9.6 seconds.
Interior updates expected in the 2013 Chrysler 200 include a new instrument panel (this will have new cooling and heating outlets), upgraded seats with new seating materials, more cushion and a revised spring geometry, and a new “soft touch” door trim panels, armrests and dash. The base model with the four-speed auto transmission comes with a 525 amp battery.

2013 Chrysler 200 LX 4dr Sedan is the base model. Apart from the price difference, the base model and the Touring Sedan have a lot in common. The trims are both powered by a 2.4 litre I-4 engine that delivers 173 horsepower, and the expected fuel efficiency ratings from the engine is 20/ 31 in the city and on the highway, with a combine mileage of 25 MPG. The Limited 4dr Sedan trim is powered by a 283 horsepower 3.6 litre V-6 engine. A combine mileage of 24 MPG with 19 in the city and 29 on the highway is expected from this engine. The base price of LX 4dr Sedan is $18,995, that of the Touring 4dr Sedan is $21,665 and the Limited 4dr Sedan starts at $24,685. It will take 9.6 secs for 0-60 mph acceleration.
Standard features on the 2013 Chrysler 200 Touring Sedan trims include an 8-way power driver’s seat, automatic temperature control, radio data system and a garage door transmitter. The Limited trim comes with entertainment features like a multimedia centre with 28 GB internal memory capacity, CD player, wireless phone and Bluetooth connectivity, and USB port. It also comes with convenience features like remote keyless entry, fog lights, driver and passenger vanity mirror, speed control, garage door transmitter, Telescoping steering wheel, power windows, door bins, leather upholstery and heated front seats.
